Diehards will notice something screwy here: the Beatles, a band we think is the greatest ever, come in tied for a dismal third. We're expecting hate letters over this, but before you flip out, keep in mind that we're only covering the period after 1966. Much of the Beatles' best work was recorded before then, which is reflected by the fact that we rate them second only to Dylan in the early-mid 60s.
